Day 1
Do not have other gods besides me. (Exodus 20:3)
God, I confess that I have worshipped gifts instead of the Giver and turned good things into gods. I repent of my idolatrous heart and choose to worship you alone.
Prayer for Openness to be Led by the Holy Spirit
Lord, I pray that your Holy Spirit will be able to move more powerfully in my life this year. Reveal to me where I desire the things of this world rather than Your Presence, any way in which I quench the voice of Your Spirit and any sin that grieves Your Spirit. Help my heart and mind to be fixed on You, Your will, and your promises. May I flow more in the gifts and grow more of the fruit of Your Spirit as I walk Closer with you. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Day 2
“Do not make an idol for yourself…” (Exodus 20:4)
God, I confess that I have worshipped a false version of you, one formed after my sinful desires and not your infallible truth. I repent of my pride and choose to worship Jesus, the image of the invisible God.
Prayer for Guidance and Protection
O Lord, our redemption. Be our protection. Direct our minds by your gracious presence. Watch over our paths and guide us with your love through the hidden snares of life. Fix our hearts on you as we go forward, and following in faith, arrive at your goal, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

“Do not misuse the name of the Lord your God…” (Exodus 20:7)
God, I confess that I have been casual with your name and misrepresented it. I repent of my irreverent heart and choose to honor and glorify your name.
A Short Prayer for Guidance
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise of guidance. Forgive me for taking your name for granted and attaching it to my plans and then asking you to bless them. Forgive me for getting ahead of Your plans when you start to show them to me,
Help me know when to stop and listen for Your direction. Enable me to be attuned to your voice. May I always be open to your word and Your Spirit.
I thank You that You are at work in me, and as I trust in You, by Your grace and guidance I will please and Glorify You.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer for Guidance When Life is Challenging
Lord, I am here today with open hands and an open heart, ready to depend on you to help me through the day, and all it will bring my way. Help me be like Nehemiah, help me come to you for guidance, strength, provision, and protection. As I face tough choices and challenging situations, help me remember just how much You love me, help me remember that I am Your child, and Your representative to the world around me. Help me live today in a way that brings honor to Your holy name.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen. - Charles Stanley

Day5
“Honor your father and mother… “(Exodus (20:12)
God, I confess that I have dishonored my parents and other authorities you have placed in my life. I repent of my rebellious heart and choose to honor my parents and godly authorities in holy reverent fear of you.
A Prayer for Discernment and Wisdom
Lord I am prone to wander, to stray to the right or the left. I need to hear your voice, just like you promised, saying – “this is the way walk in it.” I know you speak to me in many ways and today, Lord, I thank You for family, friends and all my brothers and sisters in the body of Christ.
I need a discerning heart to know when you are speaking through them to me Your truth, love, and words of wisdom. Discernment to know when You are using someone to speak instruction or correction for my natural heart is deceitful and does not want me to hear these things.
‘Create in me a new heart oh God and renew a right spirit in me.’ When I hear You speaking into my circumstances grant me the strength and courage to follow through with that advice, even when it is hard. Amen

A prayer for Guidance and Protection
Lord God Almighty, shaper and ruler of all creatures, we pray for your great mercy, that you guide us towards you, for we cannot find our way. And guide us to your will, to the need of our soul, for we cannot do it ourselves. And make our mind steadfast in your will and aware of our soul’s need. Strengthen us against the temptations of the devil, and remove from us all lust and every unrighteousness, and shield us against our foes, seen and unseen. Teach us to do your will, that we may inwardly love you before all things with a pure mind. For you are our maker and our redeemer, our help, our comfort, our trust, our hope; praise and glory be to you now and forever.
Amen - Alfred the Great, 9th century.

“Do not commit adultery.” (Exodus 20:14 cf. Ezekiel 16:32, Matthew 5:27,28)

Prayer of the Bride
Jesus as I start this day, help me remember that I belong to You so I and all who are part of Your Bride will desire to act accordingly. As part of Your Bride, I come into Your throne room to present myself to the King. I come with Holy reverent fear knowing ‘I have come to the Kingdom for such a time as this.’ May I see Your face and experience the emotions that are in Your heart toward Your Bride, may I know the river of Your love flow into the heart of Your bride causing our gaze never to leave You and our walk to be one of commitment and faith. Jesus, You are ‘the author and finisher of our faith’ we cannot do this without You. May our understanding of You as our Bridegroom increase through revelation by the light of Your word and Spirit – revealing more of Your character and Glory.
Jesus on behalf of Your Bride we ask that You strengthen the weary ones by your Spirit and heal the wounded hearts of those who have been persecuted, rejected, abused, or offended. Thank you that you will never fail, reject, hurt, or divorce Your Bride. We cannot say that we have always been the same. May Your Bride know that even in our failures and weakness, your unconditional love is constant and that as we, by Your Grace through faith embrace You we abide under Your covering. May we have wisdom to forever stay in Your presence.
Jesus, may we arise in confidence and stand strong in you; in Your power and might. May no distraction steal precious time and energy from the most important things you have called Your bride to in these days. May the Freedom, Joy and Love we have found in knowing You be seen in us every day and may our desire for you to come soon; to take us to be with you, keep your bride looking up. Maranatha, Amen

A prayer for future service
O Lord, open the eyes of my heart that I might see you in the splendor of your Holliness, the radiance of your Glory and the magnificence of Your Grace, that I, being humbled by your greatness may serve you in holiness and righteousness all the days of my life.
As I arise from repentance at the foot of Your cross, I thank you for giving me a fresh start, the past is gone; sin is cleansed and with it any feeling of regret, inadequacy, or failure I experienced. You have lifted me up, set my feet upon the rock and given me a new opportunity to love, give, and serve You and be a blessing to those you have brought into my life. With you I can be all that you made me to be.
Thank you for forgiving me. Help me to forgive myself and other people and ask forgiveness from others for myself when needed. Help me to set my mind on things above and seeing you speak only what you will have me speak and do what you will have me do that others will be helped and encouraged. Keep me from self-interest, perfectionism, and a sense of my own importance – I want to make a difference in your Name not make a Name for myself. May each person I encounter know that I have ‘been with Jesus.’ Amen
Prayer points for Israel:
Israel’s Children and Youth
Strengthening of families in Israel today to guard children against the world’s temptations and the ‘woke’ agenda.

Day 9
“Do not give false testimony…” (Exodus 20:16 cf. 1 Corinthians 15-12-23)
God, I confess that I have lied and misrepresented the character of Jesus, who is the Truth. I repent of my deceitful heart and choose to speak the truth in love. (Preaching a gospel that does not include the death, resurrection and coming again of Christ is also regarded as false testimony)
Prayer to go forward in freedom.
Father God, I come to you in the Name of Jesus, declaring that no weapon that is formed against us shall prosper and every tongue which rises against us in judgement we do condemn. This is our heritage as servants of the Lord and our righteousness is from You, O Lord of Hosts (Isaiah 54:17). If there are those who have been speaking or praying against us or who have rejected us, even cursed us, we forgive them and, having forgiven them, we bless them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:43, Romans 12:14).
Now we declare, O Lord, that You and You alone are our God, and besides You there is no other God. You are a just God and Savior: You are Creator, Redeemer, Faithful, Loving God. You are Father, Jesus the Son, and Holy Spirit – and we worship You!
Your Word says: “Submit yourself to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” So, we submitourselves afresh to You in unreserved obedience. Having submitted to You, Lord, we do as Your Word directs. We resist the devil: all his pressures, his attacks, his deceptions, every instrument, or agent he would seek to use against us. We do not submit! We resist him, drive him from us and exclude him from us in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Specifically, we reject and repel:
Every form of witchcraft
Every influence of the occult
Every spirit of infirmity: infections, malignancies, viruses, pain, inflammation, and allergies
Every spirit of depression and heaviness; confusion and deception
Every spirit of accusation and condemnation.
Finally, Lord, we thank You that through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, we have passed out from under the curse and entered into the blessing of Abraham, whom You blessed in all things(Galatians 3:13-14, Genesis 24:1). Thank You for Your favor, Your presence, Your provision, Your protection. Thank You for good health, victory, exaltation, reproductiveness, and prosperity. Amen

Prayers for a God filled future.
Lord, I thank you that when you looked at this sinful world your love burned fiercer than your anger so you gave to save; to reconcile us to yourself, that we may be one with you. Amen
Heavenly Father, we are all your children, and you love us in a way we can hardly fathom. Help us to see past the issues that divide us and see one another with eyes free of hate. We have sinned. We have struck our brothers and sisters with malice in our heart. We have made enemies of others while claiming to be your disciples. Help us to atone for these sins and remember to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
- Greg Laurie
Lord I am still amazed by You, and I want you to know there is no one who can compare to you. You are all I want; you are all I need. Desiring someone or something else is crazy and yet my heart and my flesh fail me – be the strength of my heart. I fix my eyes on You and am determined I will never let go.
I have seen the deceptiveness of wealth and yet I have coveted those who are rich when I should pray for them as it is “hard for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God. I have seen how power corrupts and yet I have coveted the position of the powerful when I should pray for those in authority over us. I have seen the possessive of possessions, yet I have sort to amass things when I should have been content with what I have and pray they have no hold over me. Please forgive me.
Lord, I need to travel light and unencumbered. I trust you to feed me each day with your daily bread to sustain me. I set my thoughts on things above desiring to speak only what will help and encourage others. I give you my heart today I want it attuned to your heart O Lord.
May I see everyone as you see them treating each person I encounter as you would, with respect and love, forgiving others as you have forgiven me.
Amen
Prayer for Government.
Lord, I see how covetousness has undermined the government of our nations, where money and possessions have come before “we the people” and before your truth and your ways. We pray for President Trump and those like him who put principles before prestige, provision before personal gain and people before position and power.
Prosper, protect, and provide a way for all who are doing the right thing, in Jesus’s name – our Way maker. Amen
